The LTDC’s CEO nominated for a prestigious award…..

CHAMPAGNE and celebration seem to fit together like hand in glove, and at this moment in time, it is safe to assume that the LTDC will be raising glasses to its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mpaiphele Maqutu on the evening of the 15th June 2019. Mr. Maqutu has been nominated as a finalist in Men of Honour Awards and he is up against nominations for the CEO’s of Metropolitan and Lesotho Post Bank under the category of the best CEO.

The Men of Honour Awards recognises and celebrates the invaluable contribution of men in various industries in Lesotho such as leadership, innovation, politics, business to mention a few. The awards will be held at a gala event at ‘Manthabiseng Convention Centre.

Mr. Maqutu joined LTDC as the CEO 6 years back and is humbled by his finalist’s position, as he believes the calibre of this nomination is outstanding. "It's an honour to be included and recognised on such a prestigious list,” he said.  According to Mr Maqutu, winning such a prestigious award will be a boost and motivation for Lesotho’s Tourism industry. He says the award will be the result of a collaborative effort and commitment from all industry operators, who work tirelessly to promote tourism in Lesotho.

The LTDC’s Head of Finance and Administration, Mr. Thetso Thamae, on behalf of LTDC’s Staff said Mr. Maqutu is truly deserving of the nomination. "Ntate Maqutu is such a valuable part of the Lesotho Tourism team, his dedication to marketing Lesotho on a global scale is unparalleled, coupled with his eagerness to see Lesotho tourism industry offering the good quality services,” Thamae said.

The Men of Honour Awards is a collaborative effort between Mind Liberation Psychology Consultancy (MLPC) and MJM Consultancy who seek to honour and recognize Basotho men of value and responsibility.
